Tom Aposporos was trained and has worked extensively as a stage actor in summer stock, repertory,
cabaret and experimental theater, has narrated for film and television, and has been a radio
commentator. He has provided voice talent for corporations as well as being a voice in public
service announcements for nearly thirty years and has served as spokesperson for individuals,
governments and corporations.
Tom is a founder of Theatre Odyssey, a writers and actors' company based on the Gulf of Mexico in
Florida. Four plays originally selected and produced by Theatre Odyssey

have been published by noteworthy firms and are available for production by royalty arrangement.
Tom also enjoys a dynamic life in business and public service. He was elected the youngest Mayor
in the history of Poughkeepsie, New York and served an unprecedented four consecutive terms.
He subsequently directed publicly-traded banking companies for more than a decade and during a
significant part of that time was Chairman of the Board of Progressive Bank, Inc., a bank holding
company which enjoyed a dramatic recovery and rise in shareholder value during his tenure. During
these activities, he continued to actively participate in a family owned business with interests

Tom has also been involved in public life in Florida, chairing his community's Charter Review Commission twice and serving as a City Commissioner. His political and business experience makes him a sought after public speaker, meeting facilitator and corporate retreat lecturer on ethical business values, corporate governance and the relationships between business and political environments. He has also accepted short and long term work assignments for organizations. For example, on two separate occasions over a twenty year period, he has served Poughkeepsie, New York as its Acting Development Director, responsible for planning, zoning and development functions.
